Kalepo Camp is an intimate tented luxury bush camp.  Set in a shady grove of acacias with the majestic Mathews Mountains as a backdrop, the camp is sold on an exclusive use basis and is perfect for private groups or families who would like to explore the beauty and culture of this corner of Samburuland.  

Kalepo Camp is the foundation of our relationship with the Samburu community. This pioneer development, for and in the name of the community ans, provides maximum returns for the community, their livestock and the wildlife.  Here, modernist architecture combined with organic geometry and local materials create an entirely new type of East African ‘bush experience’. Each of the camps’ rooms, the dining room, lounge, studio, and spa exude a sense of luxury and sophistication while immersing guests in this wild landscape.

The resident Samburu people form the heart and soul of the region; living and interacting with the landscape as they have for centuries.  The absolute highlight of your stay with us is spending time with these incredible people; observing the spectacle of the singing wells (seasonal), mingling in their homes at dusk or dawn, and experiencing their timeless traditions firsthand. During your downtime in camp, you can also continue to enjoy intimate wildlife encounters at the camp waterhole and hide.
